WWO ORPHAN SUPERHERO RIDERS 2018
As a twice Orphan Rider and Superhero (2015 and 2016), I am thrilled to be riding again with and for WWO and their most inspiring leader Dr. Jane! I was introduced to WWO by my friends Sarah Marie Martin and Nick Brophy, who are parents 5 times over with two of their children helming from Ethiopia. It was through their amazing journey as parents and their experience with WWO that I realized how much we can and should do for orphans around the world. You can read more about WWO here. Their mission is simple - to help at-risk, vulnerable, orphaned children have access to the things they need – medical care, education, and psychosocial support – so they can be healthy, hopeful, independent members of their communities.
My mission is simple as well - to help raise money for WWO so they in turn can help children. I will match all donations made.
Thank you so much for donating!
PS - Last time I rode in 2016 it was a 50 degrees and a monsoon! And one of the best experiences I have ever had. Looking forward to a threepeat and beating the Verazanno! (Only would be happy to have it be sunny and warm this time...).
For five years, our fearless WWO Superhero Riders have not only biked 40 miles through the 5 boroughs of New York City, they have also raised tens of thousands of dollars for WWO and the children we serve. This year, 35 of our most enthusiastic and active supporters will be riding the 40 miles once again.
WWO's mission is to transform the lives of orphans and vulnerable children through access to medical care, education, and psychosocial support so they can become healthy, independent, and productive members of their community and the world.
